How much a VPN costs and how to pay for it from Russia

“How do I pay” usually does not mean “which button”. It means “what can I pay with, if a foreign card is declined”. Below are the price per month, the order of payment step by step, and an honest list of what you do not need for it.

In short. Our plan price is 300 ₽ a month for 3 devices, 500 ₽ for 5, 700 ₽ for 10; the term is 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. From Russia people pay the ordinary way: by SBP (the Faster Payments System) or a Russian bank card, in roubles. The invoice is raised in your account cabinet, the cabinet opens a secure payment page, and you see the invoice total before you pay. You do not need a foreign card, a messenger account or a bot, or a live secure connection — the cabinet and the payment page are ordinary websites. There is no discount for a longer term: three months cost exactly three times the monthly price.

We build Mayak — so everything below about payment is about us, with prices and with what we do not promise. You do not have to pay to try it. 7 days free after you confirm your email, no card needed.

How much it costs per month

Our plans differ not by speed and not by traffic volume, but by the number of devices that work at the same time. Prices as of 20 September 2026:

PlanDevicesPlan price
Start up to 3 300 ₽ a month
Family up to 5 500 ₽ a month
Max up to 10 700 ₽ a month

The same numbers are on the home page and in the help centre: they are not typed into the pages by hand but come from the same system that raises the invoice — so “one price on the shelf, another at the till” cannot happen here by construction.

Why we write “plan price” and not “total”. The plan price is what we charge for the service. The invoice total is shown by the cabinet before you pay, on the same screen where you choose the term: you will not be paying blind, and the amount on the button is the amount that leaves your account.

We do not sell “unlimited traffic” as an extra and charge nothing for it: the volume is not capped and we do not throttle speed, but the tunnel will not be faster than your own network. The ad and tracker filter is part of the plan too — what it removes and what it does not.

How to pay from Russia, step by step

The whole payment happens on the Russian side: the invoice is raised by our account cabinet, the money is taken by a Russian payment service, and the currency is roubles.

  1. Create an account. The easiest way is right in the app on first launch; the cabinet works too. You sign in later by email or by your nine-digit account number.
  2. Open the “Plan and payment” card in the cabinet. That is where you pick the plan (Start / Family / Max) and the term — 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.
  3. Press “Pay”. The cabinet opens a secure payment page. The amount and the period on it are the ones you chose.
  4. Pay by SBP or by card. Card details are entered on the payment service's own page and are not handed to us.
  5. The access extends itself. As soon as the payment is confirmed — usually within seconds — the term in your account moves forward. Nothing else is required from you.

Where the confirmation lives afterwards. It arrives in the app, in the Messages section (the bell on the main screen): the amount, the plan and the date the access now runs to. The history of all payments is in the cabinet, in the same “Plan and payment” card, and if the account has an email, a letter goes there too — details in the help centre.

What people pay with: SBP and a Russian card

Payment is accepted in roubles through the Faster Payments System (SBP) or by bank card. That is written in our payment terms, section 2 — the same document you accept by paying.

  • We do not store the card number. Neither the number nor the confirmation codes ever reach us: they are entered on the payment service's secure page.
  • There is no recurring card charge. You confirm every payment yourself. A subscription that quietly starts taking money is impossible here by construction, not by promise.
  • We do not accept cryptocurrency. Accepting digital currency as payment for services is prohibited for Russian residents by part 5 of article 14 of federal law No. 259-FZ.

What you do not need in order to pay

This is the more common half of the question, and we answer it with a list of what is not required.

  • A foreign card. We are a Russian service and we take roubles: a Russian bank card and SBP work exactly as they do in any other shop.
  • A messenger account or a bot. The invoice is raised in the cabinet on the website. We do have a bot that can do the same, but it is a second route rather than a required one — the address is in the help centre, for those who prefer it.
  • A live secure connection. The cabinet and the payment page are ordinary websites, and we do not require a tunnel to be up before you pay. That matters in the obvious case: the access has expired, you need to pay, and there is nothing to connect with.
  • Buying a “key” separately. We sell access to an account, not a file: the app creates a key for each device by itself and nothing needs forwarding. Why one key cannot be shared by two people — we measured that separately.
  • Payment details for the trial. We do not ask for a card for it at all.

Which term to pay for — and why a year is not cheaper

The term is chosen in the cabinet: 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. What is worth knowing beforehand:

There is no discount for a longer term. The plan price for three months is a plain multiplication — exactly three times the monthly price, and the same for six and twelve. This is not a turn of phrase: that is how the invoice is calculated in our code, and there is nowhere for another number to come from. We say it plainly, because “it is cheaper to take a year” would be untrue here.

Then why take a long term at all. Only so you come back to the payment screen less often. If you are unsure, take a month: we do not refund a paid period, and a short term is the more honest choice for you.

The wallet in the cabinet. You can top it up by an amount from 50 to 100,000 ₽ at a time and pay for the plan from the balance. Money on the balance does not expire and is not limited in time.

What happens after the payment and before the term ends

  • Three days before the period ends we remind you: by letter — if you have an email on the account — and always in the cabinet.
  • Three grace days. After the paid period ends the access keeps working for another three days, so renewing does not have to happen in a hurry. This is for those who paid; grace days do not apply to the trial.
  • Auto-renewal has its own switch and takes money from the cabinet balance, not from a card. Turn it on, and a few days before the period ends we take the plan price from the balance and extend the access. Not enough money on the balance — nothing is taken, the access simply ends as usual. You can turn it off at any moment in the same place, and the period already paid for stays whole.
  • Changing to a dearer plan mid-month costs the difference: what is left of the old plan is counted towards it. Moving to a cheaper plan is an ordinary purchase once the paid period ends.

How it works out cheaper per device

There is exactly one way with us, and it is arithmetic rather than a discount: one plan covers several devices and several people. Family is five places for 500 ₽, which is 100 ₽ per place a month; Max is ten places for 700 ₽, which is 70 ₽ per place. The name of the plan limits nothing: whose devices take the places is up to you.

No password sharing is needed for that: the places of your plan are handed out to people close to you in the cabinet, each with their own account and their own sign-in, while one person pays. What becomes visible to the payer and what stays invisible to everyone — listed point by point in the help centre.

There is also a referral programme — we credit both your friend and you. We deliberately do not copy the numbers and conditions here: they change without the page being rebuilt, and a copy would drift away from the truth. The current ones are in the help centre and in the cabinet itself.

The money left and the access did not arrive

A paid period is not refundable — that is what our payment terms say, section 4, and the help centre says the same. There is no “30-day money back” here, and we do not promise one.

A mistake on our side is a different matter. A double charge, money taken with no access appearing, a payment for a period already paid — we put those right. Write to support@mayaknetworks.com or through the Support form in the cabinet and give the date, the payment method (SBP or card) and your account number — we will find the payment by it straight away. We usually answer within a day.

If the access is paid for and the connection still will not come up, it is most often not about money: what to check, in order. And so that you do not pay blind, there is the trial first: 7 days on one device after you confirm your email, no card needed. There is no free-forever plan — why, and what money buys at all.

Check it before you pay. Plans from 300 ₽ a month, payment by SBP or a Russian card, an app for Android and Android TV. We ask for no payment details for the trial. A confirmed email opens the access — 7 free days.

What we checked

  • The prices — from our own server, not from memory. On 20 September 2026 we asked the server itself — with the same open request the payment page and the plan cards take their prices with. The answer: payments are on, and the plans are 300 ₽ at 3 devices, 500 ₽ at 5, 700 ₽ at 10. The same numbers are on the home page, in the help centre and in the payment terms.
  • The absence of a term discount. Read not in a text but in the code that calculates the invoice: the plan price is multiplied by the number of months, and there is no long-term multiplier anywhere in that calculation.
  • Payment methods, terms, auto-renewal, grace days and refunds. Retold from the payment terms (sections 1–4) and the help centre rather than from memory; the refund wording is quoted verbatim.
  • The wallet top-up limits. 50 and 100,000 ₽ are the values the server applies; we have a separate check that makes our documents name exactly those.
  • The order of payment. Checked against the description in the help centre and on the payment page.

What we do not know

We try to make sure nothing more can be read out of our text than is in it.

  • Whether the cabinet will open on your network. We do not measure by provider and keep no lists of “where it opens” — our log records only the type of network, not whose it is.
  • Whether your bank will let the payment through. That decision belongs to the bank and the payment service, not to us, and the reasons for a refusal are not reported to us.
  • What other services cost. We do not collect other people's prices, write ratings or build “cheaper than them” tables.
  • Tomorrow's prices. Everything above is as of 20 September 2026. The current price and the invoice total are always visible in the cabinet before you pay; if they ever disagree with this article, the cabinet is the truth.
  • Whether the service will work for you in particular. That depends on your network and can only be checked on your own phone — which is what the trial is for.

Short answers

How much does a VPN cost per month? With us — 300 ₽ a month for 3 devices, 500 ₽ for 5 and 700 ₽ for 10. That is the plan price; the invoice total is shown by the cabinet before you pay.

How do I pay if a foreign card is declined? You do not need one: we take roubles by SBP and by Russian bank card.

Can I pay without a messenger and a bot? Yes, and that is the ordinary route: the invoice is raised in the account cabinet on the website. The bot is a second route for those who prefer it.

And if my access has run out and there is nothing to connect with — how do I pay? The same way. The cabinet and the payment page are ordinary websites; we do not require a live secure connection for the payment.

Is there a discount for buying a whole year? No. Twelve months cost twelve times the monthly price; a long term is only there so you return to the payment screen less often.

Can I buy a key or a subscription without an account? Access is bought for an account, so an account is needed — it takes a minute and happens right in the app. We do not sell separate key files: the app creates a key for each device itself.

Do you accept cryptocurrency? No: accepting digital currency for services is prohibited for Russian residents by part 5 of article 14 of law No. 259-FZ.

Will money be taken from my card automatically? No. There is no recurring card charge at all; auto-renewal is a separate switch and it takes money from the cabinet balance.

Can I get a refund? A paid period is not refundable — the payment terms say so. A double charge or a payment with no access is our mistake, and we will fix it.

How does it work out cheaper? Take one plan for several devices and people: Family is 100 ₽ per place a month, Max is 70 ₽. There are no discounts for the term.

Is there a free plan? Not a free-forever one. There is a trial: 7 days on one device after you confirm your email, no card.
